Wavemakers brought a panel of industry experts together who had a lot to share about career searching and finding a pathway that's right for you, paying homage to many of the tactics that landed them their dream jobs and catapulted their careers into success. The Wavemakers Career Pathways Panel Event was designed for Wavemakers students and brought many career starter insights to light.

The job market is constantly evolving with a recent shift to a virtual, technologically advanced world disrupting nearly every industry. What we do has even been turned on its head, with technological developments creating an increase in automated systems, intelligent machines and virtual environments.

Entering the workforce often feels equal parts exciting and overwhelming. There may be uncertainty about the future and curiosity about the skills needed to succeed. At Wavemakers’ recent Career Pathways & Networking event hosted with Deloitte in Wavemakers’ virtual campus on May 24th, when asked what helped to prepare for the career path ultimately taken, the panelists all stated that keeping an open mind and being receptive to different opportunities was key to shaping their progress.
